The magical FPS leverages Unreal Engine 5.1’s various technologies, like Nanite and Lumen, for a visually rich experience.
Developed on Unreal Engine 5.1, Ascendant Studios’ Immortals of Aveum is a pretty heavy game. It requires 110 GB of free space and a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (12 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6800XT (16 GB) for 1440p/60 FPS on Medium to High settings on PC. Nevertheless, it looks stunning, and a new trailer highlights the different environments that players will visit.
A trailer with a cutscene between General Kirkan (played by Gina Torres) and Jak, the protagonist, is also showcased, highlighting the strong facial animation. In a new Steam Community post, the developer discusses how the engine’s tools make this all possible. Whether it’s Nanite adjusting detail levels for every object based on your distance or Lumen allowing light to bounce off characters and environments, the visuals are clearly on point.
Immortals of Aveum is out on July 20th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. You can pre-order the Standard Edition for $70 or pick up the Deluxe Edition, which includes the Ancient Relics of Aveum Pack, for $80.
