Assassin’s Creed Mirage Clip Showcases Silky Parkour Gameplay

The open world action-adventure title is set to launch for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on October 5.

The Assassin’s Creed pendulum is about to swing back with the upcoming Mirage, which is promising a gameplay experience that will resemble the series’ older entries in more ways than one, from its focus on stealth and its lack of RPG mechanics to its smaller world and its shorter runtime. Another key element that it’s bringing back with a renewed focus is parkour, and Ubisoft has offered another glimpse of what that will look like.

The company recently took to Twitter via the official Assassin’s Creed page and shared a short, new gameplay clip highlighting some of Mirage’s parkour mechanics. Basim, looking much more agile and nimble than some of his more recent counterparts, can be seen hopping from platforms to wooden beams to ropes, as he jumps and swings his way around the city above street level, in classic Assassin’s Creed fashion. Check out the clip below.

We recently also published our hands-off impressions on the game after watching roughly an hour and a half of new gameplay footage. You can read our thoughts on how the game is shaping up through here.
