Director Choi Ji-won recommends playing through the game multiple times: “If you have only played it once, then it’s not complete.”
With its promise of a Bloodborne-inspired Soulslike adventure set in a gothic, twisted version of Pinnochio’s world, Lies of P has continued to look increasingly promising in all that’s been shown of it so far, and ahead of its launch not long from now, developer Neowiz has offered more new details that should excite those looking forward to the games.
Speaking in a recent interview with DualShockers, while touching on the topic of replay value, Lies of P director Choi Ji-won revealed that the game has three possible endings, with the Lying mechanic presmably determining which of the endings you get. In fact, Choi says that those who want a full experience of the game should get all three endings.
“One thing we planned in advance is that you wouldn’t want to just play it once. If you have only played it once, then it’s not complete,” the director said. “We really highly recommend you play it several times.”
“Basically there are three endings. But we really, really, really recommend playing the ending until the very, very, very end,” Choi added.
Neowiz has previously confirmed that Lies of P’s main story will be roughly 30 hours long, so those who do intend to get all three endings are clearly going to be in for quite a meaty experience.
Lies of P is due out on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It went gold earlier this month.
