Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Will Lock Some Limited-Time Events Behind Battle Passes – Rumor

These limited-time events and modes will reportedly offer unique mechanics and rewards while being “higher-value” for Batte Pass owners.

With Microsoft seemingly on track to price this year’s Call of Duty at $80, leaker The Ghost of Hope alleges that some seasonal limited-time events will also become pay-to-play.

The next entry is apparently Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and it purportedly offers “more seasonal limited-time events.” The “higher-value” ones reportedly contain unique mechanics and modes with “unique rewards,” but they’ll only be available to Battle Pass owners. Currently, limited-time events and modes are free for all players, which has been the case for years.

“They are planning on taking the higher tier skins, loot, and crossover operators for LTMs and making them only accessible to Battle Pass owners instead of having the ‘Premium Event Track’ we currently get during Reloaded updates,” said the leaker.

They also added that this could mean a larger budget behind limited-time events, though it’s unknown whether they would remain available for longer. Neither Activision nor Treyarch has revealed anything about this year’s Call of Duty, but it could be available on day one for Game Pass, similar to last year’s entry.

Time will tell, so stay tuned for more details.
