Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Photo Mode Details Revealed, Action Figure Mode Coming Later

Like previous games, players can capture images with heroes and enemies hidden, adjust various settings, and add stickers.

Photography is a big part of the Spider-Man franchise, due to Peter Parker performing the same for The Daily Bugle. It makes sense that the Photo Mode in Insomniac’s series should be robust. In a new PlayStation Blog, the developer has outlined all the features in Photo Mode for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Those who played the previous games will find the UI and options very familiar, with L1 and R1 used to switch between tabs in Camera Mode. You can turn hero or enemy visibility off, pause effects, dress Miles and Peter in whatever suits are unlocked, and more. There’s an option to adjust the Field of View, Exposure, Depth of Field, Filters and Frames. You can also add Film Grain, Sharpening and a Vignette to images.

There are also options for three adjustable lights to illuminate a scene per your desires (with different poses for characters). Four subsets of stickers are also available to decorate images with, which you can resize accordingly. Check out the full blog post for more details.

One of the cooler new additions is Action Figure Mode, which arrives in a later update. It allows for reducing the size of characters to give the appearance of figures and place them anywhere in the world.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is out on October 20th for PS5.
