Tutorials were popping up at the wrong time with a controller, and Underdark dialogue caused visual artefacts, but they’re fixed.
Following its release on PlayStation 5, Larian Studios has a new hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s pretty small and only addresses three issues, but considering how severe they can be – like one that stopped players from starting a new dialogue – it’s significant.
If you’re playing on the controller and notice that the in-game tutorials aren’t appearing at the right time, the hotfix addresses the same. Finally, visual artefacts that appear in dialogue within the Underdark have also been addressed. Of course, there’s more to come.
Larian is working on implementing a feature to let you change your appearance during a playthrough. It will also improve performance in Act 3 further, though Patch 2 offered several improvements. You can also expect Origin Character epilogues to expand further (with Karlach recently receiving a new ending).
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PS5 and PC.
