The first-person action-adventure will release in Q4 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, set one year after the first game.
One More Level has announced closed beta sign-ups for Ghostrunner 2, which launches this year. Slots are limited, but that’s not all, as the developer and 505 Games will reveal the “next major drop” of news on August 21st, right before Gamescom Opening Night Live.
In the meantime, fans can catch up on the Ghostrunner storyline via a new video below. It covers the events of the first game, so beware of spoilers. As for Ghostrunner 2, it’s coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC in Q4 2023, and takes place one year later. Players venture outside Dharma Tower and face a “violent cyber ninja AI cult” and various other new threats.
Levels are nonlinear, and there are even motorbike sections. New modes, skills, enemy types and boss fights await, and even the progression has been revamped for more freedom of customization to suit your play style. Of course, if you want to compete in leaderboards for the fastest time, that’s also available.
