Pragmata Challenges You to Simultaneously Hack and Destroy Enemies

While you can shoot and dodge with Hugh using triggers, the face buttons control Diana as she completes a mini-game to hack foes.

Capcom finally revealed a new trailer for Pragmata alongside a 2026 release on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While we saw a brief gameplay of the shooting, recent hands-on demo impressions have gone into greater detail, and it’s a little more complicated than that.

As VGC notes, players control Hugh and his android, Diana, simultaneously, with the demo seeing them battle through a space station’s armed bots. Hugh wields the firearms, but it’s only by simultaneously hacking the robots as Diana that you can lower their defenses and allow shots to deal damage.

The hacking mini-game involves “connecting nodes on a grid from A to B” with the controller’s face buttons. Meanwhile, players aim, dodge, and shoot with the triggers (and likely bumpers). Depending on the ammo, Hugh can also slow enemies, giving more time for successful hacks. Some power-ups increase damage dealt to foes when passing through a node in the mini-game.

Another twist is the weapons have limited shots and eventually break. It’s unclear how players will obtain other firearms, but they could simply be salvaged from the environment. Among the enemies players will face are large mechs and drones, each requiring a different hacking mini-game.

Pragmata doesn’t have a release date yet, but the demo is considered quite polished. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
