The demo showcases the randomness players can expect when the game launches on June 6th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and PS4.
Frictional Games’ Amnesia: The Bunker has suffered several delays over the past few months but looks poised to release in June. In the meantime, a free demo is available for PC via Steam to try out.
Set during World War 1, the story sees French soldier Henri Clément trapped in an abandoned bunker. Seeking a way out, he only has a revolver with one bullet, a dynamo flashlight and any surrounding supplies to scavenge and potentially craft items. It quickly becomes apparent that there’s something else out there, and it’s none too friendly.
Unlike previous games in the series, Amnesia: The Bunker uses randomization and a semi-open-world sandbox to encourage player experimentation. The monster will also react to your decisions, further increasing the tension. Frictional confirmed some randomness in the demo, so it’s worth replaying.
Amnesia: The Bunker is out on June 6th for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PS4.
