To run the game at High settings and 2160p/60 FPS with ray tracing, you’ll need a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti (12 GB) and TSR enabled.
Bloober Team has announced a launch date for Layers of Fear and released its demo on Steam. The Minimum and Recommended requirements for the PC version have already been detailed, but the hardware needed for ray tracing is also confirmed.
To run the game at High settings and 1080p/60 FPS with ray tracing enabled, you’ll need an Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 16 GB RAM and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 (8 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. High settings at 2160p/60 FPS and with ray tracing enabled requires the same CPUs and RAM, but you’ll need an RTX 3080 Ti (12 GB).
Both set-ups require an SSD M.2 and 20 GB space to install the game. You’ll also need Windows 10 and DirectX 12 with Shader Model 6. Interestingly, all specifications are balanced around Temporal Super Resolution or TSR, which works like Nvidia’s DLSS.
Layers of Fear releases on June 15th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out the cinematic intro and an extensive walkthrough with The Writer, the new playable character.
