Marvel Rivals Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda 1024x576 1 Marvel Rivals Video Reveals New Hydra Base, Symbiote Planet Maps

A new Conquest map in Tokyo 2099 is also confirmed alongside a brand new Practice Range when the hero shooter launches next week.

NetEase’s Marvel Rivals offers eight maps at launch, and while three have already been seen during its betas, five are brand new, per a new Developer Vision video. The Birnin T’Challa (Domination) and Hall of Djalia (Convergence) are located in the Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda. When destroying specific structures, unique effects can occur, like gusts of wind, to lift heroes up.

Hell’s Heaven is a Hydra base set in an Antarctic volcano. The Domination map sees the structure changing due to the organization’s Invasion Protocol. Speaking of transforming environments, the Convergence map, Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface, takes players to a Symbiote planet. When damaging symbiotic structures, you can create walkways and walls.

The above four will be available in Quick Match and Competitive, but that’s not all. Tokyo 2099: Warped Ninomaru is a new Conquest map, with damaged parts of the environment floating up into the sky. There will also be a new Practice Range to provide a “comprehensive experience” to every hero, though further details weren’t shared.

Marvel Rivals launches on December 6th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC with Season 0: Dooms’ Rise, which will last a month. Season 1 is scheduled for January 2025 and will introduce even more content, including a new hero.
