Various quality-of-life features like a Portcrystal in Bakbattahl, infinite revives for your Main Pawn, and more are also available.
Capcom promised an update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on PC and consoles and has delivered what may be its biggest yet. The title update reduces the frequency of crashes and fixes issues causing CPU overload. Yes, almost six months after launch, you should finally see improved frame rates in town centers or where many NPCs tend to congregate.
However, these pale in comparison to the addition of Casual Mode. It’s available to switch to mid-game (though you can’t switch from Casual to Normal) and changes several gameplay aspects. Ferrystones cost less, inn fees are reduced, and Pawns will recover from Dragonsplague without a calamity, even if they’re terminal. It’s also much more difficult to reach “Heavy” or “Very Heavy” carry weight
Other notable quality-of-life changes include a Portcrystal in Bakbattahl, the ability to revive your Main Pawn at Forgotten Riftstones infinitely, and more. There are also varying idle animations for Pawns and new animations when dashing.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
