The newest patch for Larian Studios’ acclaimed RPG adds new evil ending cinematics, official modding tools, improvements for the Honor Mode, and more.
Larian Studios is preparing to wind down support for Baldur’s Gate 3, but the developer still has some major additions planned for the acclaimed RPG, a bunch of which have now arrived with the launch of Patch 7.
As previously revealed, Baldur’s Gate 3’s newest major update is another substantial one, adding new evil ending cinematics, support for official modding tools, new Legendary Actions in Honor Mode, improvements for splitscreen co-op, and more.
Currently, however, Patch 7 is only available for PC players, with the game’s PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Mac versions set to get the patch sometime in October. Why?
“Mac and console players, it’s going to take a little longer to get Patch 7 through all the necessary technical checks and requirements and into your hands,” Larian Studios explains on Twitter. “Although later than we originally expected, you should be diving into Patch 7 this October. We appreciate you for bearing with us, and will make sure to keep you updated with our progress!”
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Mac. Additional features such as cross-platform multiplayer support and a Photo Mode are also in the works.
