Set in the Dead by Daylight universe, Supermassive’s single-player horror adventure title will be available for PC and current-gen consoles.
Behaviour Interactive has announced the release date for The Casting of Frank Stone, a single-player horror adventure game set in its Dead by Daylight universe and developed by Supermassive Games of Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures fame.
The Casting of Frank Stone will release on September 3. Set in the 1980s, it will tell the story of a group of teen friends who head into a steel mill in Oregon that’s known to be the site of gruesome past crimes, hoping to film a documentary called “Murder Mill”.
Like past horror adventure games by Supermassive that fans of the studio may be familiar with, the game will revolve heavily around choice and consequence mechanics, with player actions and decisions impacting how the story unfolds and which characters live or die. Check out its trailer below.
Pre-orders for the title have gone live now, with a Standard Edition being priced at $39.99, in addition to a Deluxe Edition that’s being sold for $49.99. In addition to several in-game bonuses, cosmetics, and more, the latter will also include The Cutting Room Floor feature, which will allow players to return to key points in the game to make different decisions, change characters’ fates, and find hidden collectibles.
Upon its launch in September, The Casting of Frank Stone will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
