Assassin’s Creed Codename Red Gameplay Reveal Set for Ubisoft Forward – Rumor

Hands-on impressions from press and content creators for the next Assassin’s Creed title will reportedly go live on June 12th.

While previously alleged for May, the gameplay reveal of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is seemingly happening at Ubisoft Forward on June 10th. Sources speaking to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson revealed that press and content creators will go hands-on with it during the Summer Games Fest week, with the embargo ending on June 12th.

It’s unknown if Ubisoft will tease the title before Ubisoft Forward. With the Summer Game Fest on June 7th and the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9th, it could very well announce the official name and provide a release window while promising more details at its dedicated showcase.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will launch before April 2025, per Ubisoft. It unfolds in Feudal Japan, with the player controlling a shinobi and samurai. Despite featuring action RPG mechanics like previous mainline titles, it’s reportedly more stealth-based, with overhauled parkour and a dynamic day/night system.
