Developer GSC Game World says the open world shooter will have a “huge” amount of content, with four different endings to see.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been a long time coming, and the promises that developer GSC Game World has made have only served to make the wait for the shooter that much more excruciating. Among those lofty promises is one of a large and expansive open world experience- but exactly how long can we expect the game to be?
In a recent interview with Chinese outlet Gamersky, GSC Game World touched on the topic of the game’s length, and confirmed that its main story will be roughly 40 hours long. Previously, the developer has said players can put “hundreds” of hours into the game, depending on how much they engage with the optional content.
Meanwhile, speaking about its branching narrative, GSC Game World also revealed that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will have four different endings. Additionally, side quests will also have multiple endings, while some of them will also impact the main story “in some way.”
In the same interview, the developer also confirmed that the game will have a 60 FPS Performance Mode on Xbox Series X/S.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is due out in Q1 2024 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
