Bethesda indicated this would be the case before launch, though it didn’t indicate how much data was included on physical discs
Following its commercial and critical success on Xbox Series X/S and PC, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is coming to PS5 this week. However, those picking up the physical edition may want to rethink the decision since the full game reportedly doesn’t ship on disc.
A video by Retro Game Future showcases what seems to be the PS5 physical version’s French cover. Unlike the box cover from online retail listings, it indicates that an internet connection is necessary. After inserting the disc, only 20 GB of data is included, with the rest downloaded through a mandatory update.
Bethesda previously confirmed that physical editions would require an online download, though it didn’t indicate how big it would be. The same issue sadly affects the Xbox Series X/S version.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launches on April 17th for PS5.
