The upcoming remaster will also feature subtitles in fourteen different languages, in addition to various other enhancements.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster’s own developers have explicitly confirmed that it’s going to be closer to a remake than its name would suggest, and while a lot of that will obviously be tied to the visual and technical upgrades that it’s making over the beloved original, players can look forward to some notable tweaks and improvements on the gameplay front as well.

For instance, taking to Twitter, while listing out some of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster’s headlining new features, Capcom also mentions new photography features, which will allow players to customize their shots in new ways. Also mentioned is the fact that the game will feature full voice overs (which the original did not) in not just English, but a total of nine languages, while subtitles will be available in 14.

Recently, it was also confirmed that Terence J. Rotolo, the original voice actor of Dead Rising protagonist Frank West, will not be returning for the remaster, though Capcom hasn’t said why.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster launches on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and will be priced at $50. A $60 deluxe edition will also be available, featuring bonus skins from other Capcom properties.
