Super Mario Bros. Wonder is Out Now on Nintendo Switch

Mario’s latest 2D side-scrolling platformer takes place in the Flower Kingdom and offers Badges, new power-ups and much more.

While many are doubtless busy swinging through Manhattan in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Nintendo Switch players are also eating well. Super Mario Bros. Wonder, the latest 2D side-scrolling title in the Mario series, is now available worldwide. Check out the launch trailer below.

The story sees Mario and friends venturing to the Flower Kingdom at the behest of Prince Florian. Unfortunately, Bowser arrives and fuses with the Wonder Flower and the prince’s castle, transforming into an entity spreading smog and chaos. It’s up to Mario to save the day, collecting Wonder Seeds and dealing with the trippy effects of the Wonder Flowers.

With new power-ups and Badges, multiple playable characters and regions, four-player local co-op and robust online multiplayer, Super Mario Bros. Wonder is packed with things to do. Critics also love it and it currently has a 93 Metacritic score based on 82 reviews, making it a “Must Play” title.
