Gekkoukan’s class clown is somewhat skilled with a two-handed sword and uses the Persona Hermes to fight against the Shadows.
After the protagonist and Yukari Takeba, Atlus’s latest trailer for Persona 3 Reload focuses on Junpei Iori. Voiced by Zeno Robinson in English and Kosuke Toriumi in Japanese, he’s considered the class clown of Gekkoukan High School and the SEES but a reliable hand in battle.
Junpei’s Arcana is the Magician, and he fights with a two-handed sword alongside the Persona Hermes. He’s capable of dealing massive Fire and Slash damage to his enemies. While he’ll often joke and draw Yukari’s ire, Junpei deals with an alcoholic father and feels insecure at times. There’s also some involvement with the antagonistic Strega, but you’ll have to play the game to learn more.
Persona 3 Reload launches on February 2nd 2024 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It will retail for $70 on release, and on top of the revamped visuals, there are quality-of-life improvements, like Social Links being easier to max out.
