Ascendant Studios’ single player first person magic shooter launches on August 22 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Ascendant Studios’ single player fantasy FPS Immortals of Aveum has turned a fair few heads since its announcement earlier this year, and with the game not far away from release now, publisher EA is continuing to build up the hype with a new trailer to celebrate its imminent launch. Check it out below.
Set in the titular fantasy realm of Aveum, Immortals of Aveum tells the story of the Everwar, where protagonist Jack joins an elite order of battlemages and embarks on a mission to save the world. The single player shooter is promising a cinematic, action-packed, narrative-driven campaign that will “defy genre conventions” by replacing contemporary/futuristic military action with magic.
At 20-25 hours long, Immortals of Aveum is promising a meaty campaign. Its world will adopt a Metroidvania-esque structure, and will be divided into 12 different biomes.
Immortals of Aveum is due out on August 22 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. it will run at 60 FPS on consoles.
