Larian Studios’ epic role-playing game, and its biggest yet, is finally available for PC players after six years in development.
After six years in development and three years in early access, Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios is officially available on PC. PS5 players will have to wait until September 6th, but in the meantime, check out the PC launch trailer below to celebrate the occasion.
Set over 100 years after Baldur’s Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal, Baldur’s Gate 3 sees the player and several characters kidnapped by Mindflayers. After being implanted with Ilithid tadpoles, they set out to excise them. Of course, things aren’t always that simple in Dungeons and Dragons. Each Origin character has a different goal and purpose that may intertwine with your own.
Baldur’s Gate 3 features 11 races with 31 subraces in total, each with different starting proficiencies and bonuses. There are 12 classes and 46 subclasses, over 600 Spells and actions, 174 hours of cinematics and much more. It’s a massive game, with Larian estimating 75 to 100 hours for a story playthrough (200 hours for completionists).
