Digital Sun and Riot Forge’s 2D action RPG will be available for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC​
Riot Forge is moving full steam ahead with its plans of expanding the League of Legends franchise into new horizons, part of which is releasing a variety of indie-developed spinoffs in the League of Legends Story line of games. The second instalment in that series, The Mageseeker, was announced earlier this year and given a Spring release window, and now, a specific release date has been confirmed.
The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story will launch on April 18 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG). Developer by Digital Sun of Moonlighter fame, the action RPG will focus on magic-infused combat, starring Sylas as protagonist, and will be set in the city of Demacia. The game will be priced at $29.99, while players will also have the option to shell out $39.99 on a Digital Deluxe Edition, which will also include a Silverwing Supply Station Pack, Home Sweet Cave Decorations, Exclusive Spells, and Unchained Skins. Pre-orders for both editions are now live on all digital storefronts, with an in-game Lost Silverwing being offered as a pre-order bonus.
Riot Forge will also sell a physical Collector’s Edition for $169.99, which will include a Sylas Statue, Art Book, Deluxe Art Print, Lux Comic Special Edition Hardcover, Sylas & Lux Enamel Pins and Soundtrack Vinyl, and an exclusive custom box.
Riot Forge has a couple more League of Legends spinoffs in the pipeline for 2023, with Double Stallion’s action platformer CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story set to release this Summer, followed by Tequila Works’ adventure game Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story, which launches this Fall.
Recently, Airship Syndicate’s turn-based RPG Ruined King: A League of Legends Story was also ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
