THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: TEARS OF THE KINGDOM WILL RECEIVE DLC, OFFICIAL WEBSITE SUGGESTS

The upcoming open world title’s official website includes mention of post-launch DLC, which hasn’t yet been officially announced.ā€‹

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom isnā€™t out yet, but it seems like details on the highly anticipated open world title are beginning to emerge before Nintendo has the chance to formally unveil them. Recently, the gameā€™s official art book leaked in full, leading to spoilers about locations, characters, and enemies popping up online, and now, it seems plans for post-launch content may also have been prematurely revealed.

Thatā€™s as per mention of post-launch DLC on the gameā€™s official website (which you can see in the screencap below). Post-launch expansions for the action-adventure sequel havenā€™t yet been announced by Nintendo, though given the fact that its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, also received its fair share of support following release ā€“ including a full-fledged expansion in The Championsā€™ Ballad ā€“ it wouldnā€™t be surprising to see its sequel following suit.

In recent years, Nintendo has followed up the vast majority of its first party releases with post-launch content, so Tears of the Kingdom may very well end up following suit as well.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is due out on May 12 for the Nintendo Switch.
