Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered Standalone Version Launches in May for PS5

Retailing for $49.99, PS4 owners of the base game, Digital Deluxe Edition or Game of the Year Edition can upgrade for $10.

In addition to a prequel comic for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is now available to purchase standalone on PS5 later this month. The remaster was previously exclusive to the Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales when it launched in November 2020.

It will be available to purchase standalone for $49.99. Those who bought the base game, Digital Deluxe Edition or Game of the Year Edition on PS4 can upgrade for $10. Those who own Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales can also still upgrade to the Ultimate Edition and obtain the remaster. Of course, if you play Marvel’s Spider-Man via PlayStation Plus, it’s not eligible for an upgrade.

Insomniac hasn’t provided a release month, but Sony reiterated its release for this fiscal year. Stay tuned for more details, especially with the rumored PlayStation Showcase later this month.
