Firewalk is interested in “partnering with the community to help inform how we evolve the experience with new modes in the future.”
Before its launch on August 23rd for PC and PS5, Firewalk Studios’ Concord received some new details courtesy of its official Twitter. Though the developer didn’t comment on the PvE credits discovered during the beta, it did confirm “special single-player training modes” at launch.
These will facilitate getting comfortable with each Freegunner’s abilities, movement and mechanics (which was sorely needed during the beta). Unfortunately, the hero shooter won’t have a PvP mode like Free-For-All for solo players. It reaffirmed that the line-up would grow with “regular content updates” and looks forward to “partnering with the community to help inform how we evolve the experience with new modes in the future.”
Concord will feature 12 maps on release and six multiplayer modes, from casual options like Takedown and Trophy Hunt to Cargo Run and Clash Point. Firewalk revealed that there would be no battle pass (at least initially) – instead, players can earn cosmetic items by playing the game, leveling up and completing Jobs. One of those Jobs includes a weekly to unlock more Variants, of which there are multiple for the entire roster.
Stay tuned for more details soon, including the post-launch roadmap.
