S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Receives Stunning New Gameplay Trailer

The Zone presents its share of hazards, but players have extensive choices, from sneaking and sniping to close-quarters combat.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl’s latest release date of September 5th was reiterated during the Xbox Games Showcase. It’s coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC alongside Game Pass at launch, but in the meantime, check out the latest gameplay trailer below.

Outside of the visuals, which continue to look stunning, all the tenets of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience are here. As players explore the ruins of the Zone, they’ll run into mutants, from dogs to large hulking creatures, they can take a non-linear approach to completing objectives. Venture through the streets and fight up close with assault rifles, or find a vantage point and snipe enemies.

Use silencers for a more covert approach, and keep a rocket launcher handy when required. The Zone won’t remain complacent, though. Different Anomalies pop up, each with unique effects, and you’ll have to deal with hurricanes, rain and other hazards.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl offers a 40-hour-long story, though the scale of the world should offer enough to keep players busy.
