Hades 2 Early Access Currently Has More Areas, Enemies and Fully-Voiced Characters Than Hades

It’s not even complete as Supergiant Games says, “key areas, characters, foes, narrative events, and systems are still to come.”

Supergiant Games’ Hades 2 is available in early access for PC via Steam (currently rated “Overwhelmingly Positive”) and the Epic Games Store. While there’s currently no end date for early access, there’s more than enough content to make it worthwhile for the time being.

The developer revealed that the current version “already has more environments, foes, and fully-voiced characters” than the full version of the original Hades, which is saying something considering how substantial its predecessor was. Nevertheless, it has a ways to go as Supergiant implements more “key areas, characters, foes, narrative events, and systems.”

As such, players will hit a wall at some point, indicating the current version’s end, and some icons, interface screens and character art are a work-in-progress. Hades 2 has been in development for over three years now, and with this early access launch, Supergiant wanted it to be “far enough along that as many players as possible could have a good experience right away, yet not far enough along that it’s too late in development for us to act on the feedback we receive.”

While it’s not confirmed to increase in price at a later date, Supergiant could opt for the same depending on how long early access lasts and the “scope of additional content.” Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
