11 bit studios’ post-apocalyptic city-builder is also launching for PC Game Pass in the first half of 2024 and later for Game Pass.
11 bit studios has finally released the first gameplay trailer for Frostpunk 2, its follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2018 post-apocalyptic city-builder. After confirming a release in the first half of 2024 for PC, it announced PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions launching later. The sequel will also launch on PC Game Pass and later on Game Pass.
As for the trailer, it’s from the perspective of The City’s Steward, who hears non-stop requests from different factions. You can enact measures and attempt to keep things under control, but laws require votes (and there’s a chance of failure). Then again, if you manage to persuade enough delegates, who knows where humanity could go and whether they’ll live to tell the tale.
The detail and scale of The City are impressive, with the footage captured on a PC using an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro and Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
