Resident Evil 4 Remake – VR Mode Launches December 8th for PlayStation VR2

A free demo will also be available on the PlayStation Store, offering a “360-degree look” at the opening and the Shooting Range.

Capcom has announced that the free VR Mode for Resident Evil 4 Remake, exclusive to PlayStation VR2, will be available on December 8th. There will also be a free demo that PS5 players can download, which includes the Shooting Range and a “360-degree look” of the opening.

VR Mode encompasses the entire campaign and utilizes the headset’s 4K HDR display and 3D audio for immersion. The Sense controllers are also leveraged with different gestures when reloading weapons or using the knife, whether in melee combat or parrying. If you’re keen on trying guns and getting used to their reload motions, the Shooting Range is a place to stop by.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is available for PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox Series X/S. Check out our review here, where we awarded it a 10 (Separate Ways, its paid DLC, is also pretty good). It’s sold 5.45 million units as of September 30th, and is currently nominated in three categories at The Game Awards, including Game of the Year.
