The 5v5 competitive shooter will be free to play on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It features Shard Cards, which alter a match’s rules.
NetEase is seeing success with Marvel Rivals, but it has another competitive multiplayer title coming up with Bad Guitar Studio’s FragPunk. The free-to-play 5v5 tactical shooter launches on March 6th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, and a new trailer highlights some of the new Shard Cards to expect. Check it out below.
As noted in our closed beta impressions of FragPunk earlier this year, Shard Cards allow players to add modifiers to an ongoing match. These can provide benefits like Big Head, which results in easier headshots, but the opposing team can do the same. Some newer Cards include Small Head, which reduces head size and makes it tougher to get headshots.
However, you can flip levels entirely, turn weapons into turrets, unleash ricocheting explosive ammo, and much more. There are over 100 cards to unlock at launch for free, with more coming later. Stay tuned for more details on FragPunk and a potential open beta before launch.
