Windblown Early Access Plans Include New Mechanics, Lore, and Potential Console Ports

Windblown 1024x576 2 Windblown Early Access Plans Include New Mechanics, Lore, and Potential Console Ports

Motion Twin is currently focused on gathering feedback from players and polishing “everything that we think in a rough state.”

Motion Twin’s Windblown is now in early access, offering 12 weapons and five biomes for rogue-lite fans to tear through, solo or co-op. However, it’s only the start of the journey. There will be more levels, weapons, and biomes, but what does the team have planned for the imminent future?

In a new Steam post, Motion Twin revealed that it’s focusing on gathering feedback and polishing “everything that we think in a rough state” (which it admits is “a lot”). New content will also include additional enemies, Trinkets, gifts, Magifishes, and skins, though there’s no timeline aside from “once the game is stable.”

Perhaps more interesting is implementing more choices between biomes, new gameplay mechanics, looking at ways to make single-player “useful” for multiplayer and vice versa, and more. You can also expect more lore about the Vortex, quality of life features, improved Steam Deck performance, and more accessibility options (though it could take more time due to the team wanting to get things right).

Console versions could also happen if the game is “successful enough.” The team consists of 12 developers – eight internally and four freelancers – so they could be developed in parallel. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months.
