The patch also fixes several bugs, like a wooden plank manifesting during James’ death and visual issues with Nvidia DLSS on PC.

Bloober Team and Konami have released a new patch for Silent Hill 2 remake, fixing various issues across PS5 and PC. The former sees fixes for rare crashes that can occur with AI, texture binding, and streaming. Bugs like a wooden plank appearing in James’ death animation or James teleporting when interacting with the peephole from the wrong side in Brookhaven Hospital have also been fixed.

Various issues have also been addressed with the Abstract Daddy boss, from being unable to hit James during their fight to the third TV having the right audio. As for the PC version, those who use Nvidia DLSS should see fewer visual glitches. DLSS frame generation can also be enabled when using supersampling.

Nvidia Reflex is also enabled when using frame regeneration, while support has been added for AMD FSR 3.1.1. PC players can also enable AMD Fluid Motion Frames when supersampling with FSR 3.1.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed James to access the inaccessible balcony in Blue Creek Apartments.
  • Fixed an issue with Abstract Daddy’s behavior during boss fight where the enemy was not hitting James properly.
  • Fixed multiple issues with Abstract Daddy’s 3rd TV – it should now have the correct audio, and the wall won’t interfere with its position.
  • Fixed an issue with a question mark from the Conference Room not disappearing after obtaining Cinderella figurine in Lakeview Hotel.
  • Fixed an issue with collision detection with the Dayroom walls in Brookhaven Hospital.
  • Fixed an issue where James was falling under the map when approaching Laura entering Brookhaven Hospital from the bushes on the left.
  • Removed debug numbers displayed behind wallpapers in Blue Creek Apartments’ Clock Room.
