Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Developer Announces Fix for its Use of the Cuban Flag in Morales Apartment

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 accidentally uses a Cuban flag in the Morales apartment, despite the family being Puerto Rican.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 developer Insomniac Games has apologised for the recently-discovered Cuban flag found in the apartment of Miles and Rio Morales. Spotted by Reddit user TheHouselessTurtle, the flag is a clear mistake, since the Morales family is of Puerto Rican descent, rather than being from Cuba.

Quite a few players took to social media platform X for Insomniac’s inclusion of the Cuban flag in the apartment. While players have mentioned liking Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 quite a bit, they have still leveled criticism at Insominac for its use of the wrong flag.

Having been released on the PS5 earlier this month, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been quite successful, with the game having sold more than 2.5 million copies in its first 24 hours of release. For context, Marvel’s Spider-Man—released on the PS4 in 2018—managed to sell more than 3.3 million copies in its first three days.
