Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Has Been Delayed to February

DON’T NOD says the action RPG is “finished and set for release”, but has decided to delay it to get out of a packed release schedule.

DON’T NOD and Focus Entertainment’s action RPG Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden has looked quite promising in all that we’ve seen so far, but it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little longer to get our hands on it than previously anticipated. Previously set to launch on November 7, the game has now been delayed to February next year.

In an announcement published on Twitter, DON’T NOD said that even though Banishers is “finished and set for release”, it’s delaying its release to move out of a packed release schedule that will see a number of major games coming out. Over the next few weeks, the likes of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Alan Wake 2, and many others are lined up for release.

“With so many unforgettable games in 2023, it’s important that each of them shines brightly,” DON’T NOD wrote. “Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is no exception. Though finished and set for release, we want Red and Antea’s story to get the spotlight it deserves.”

The game is now set to launch on February 13- though it’s worth mentioning that that’s quite a packed period as well. Starting late January, in the space of a few weeks, we’ll be seeing the likes of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Persona 3 Reload, Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, among others.

Upon its launch, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
