DON’T NOD and Focus Entertainment have released a new gameplay overview trailer for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Set in North America, the action RPG sees spirit hunters Red and Antea roaming the lands to ease wandering souls. The twist is that Antea is deceased, but her spirit remains tethered to Red.
You can sacrifice the living to aid in Anthea’s resurrection or spare individuals, but some may not always deserve mercy. Regardless, your choices will have consequences. You’ll also come across different spirits and can choose to banish them to the void or help them ascend.
Players alternate between Red and Antea, with the former relying on a sword, fire bane magic and a rifle while the latter uses spiritual strikes. You can unlock new abilities for both, but Antea is also good outside combat, with her Spectral Leap capable of accessing higher areas. It’s a good idea to revisit prior locations to uncover new things.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden launches on November 7th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
