Focus Entertainment has released nine minutes of new gameplay for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. It sees Lieutenant Titus and his allies, Chairon and Gadriel, travelling to Planet Avarax. Unsurprisingly, it’s swarming with Tyranids. What are the Ultramarines to do but rip and tear until the task is done? Check it out below.
If you’ve seen last week’s gameplay with the squad venturing through Kadaku Swamp, this is faster-paced with enemies swarming constantly. Parrying, shooting and dodging attacks is the key to survival, as is having a chain sword. There is some light exploration in between, highlighting the massive scale of the environments and the sheer Tyranid numbers.
The end also seemingly confirms the presence of Chaos in the game. Warhammer 40,00: Space Marine 2 releases this Winter for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Sign-ups are available for an upcoming beta, though it appears to be facing heavy traffic.
