It also begins Larian Studios’ journey of “incorporating feedback into Origin Character epilogues, among other major things.”
Larian Studios’ next patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 is “around the corner,” per a recent tweet from the developer. It offers “major” improvements to performance and several new tweaks and changes. More importantly, it “begins our journey incorporating feedback into Origin Character epilogues, among other major things.”
Details are coming soon, which means Patch 2 should be available by the PS5 version’s launch. Larian previously confirmed that “fan-requested” features would be added, which may include the ability to change one’s appearance in the middle of a playthrough. Time will ultimately tell, though potential changes to the Origin Characters’ epilogues sound interesting.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PC, exiting Steam Early Access after nearly three years and spending six years in development. It’s the third-highest-rated game of all time per OpenCritic and had a peak concurrent player total of 875,343 per SteamDB. Check out our review here.
PS5 players will get to play it on September 6th, while Xbox Series X/S gets it later this year. Split-screen co-op isn’t available on Xbox Series S but could arrive after launch.
