The collection will launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 24.
With Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 set to launch in a little over a couple of months, Konami has started releasing new details on the collection, with a PS4 version having been announced, alongside confirmation from the company that Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 will both still be running in 720p. Additionally, gameplay footage has now also been released to offer glimpses of what the collection’s contents will look like.
IGN has uploaded three videos, showcasing over 18 minutes of gameplay from Metal Gear Solid, over 4 minutes from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and over 17 minutes from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, all three running on the Nintendo Switch. As previously confirmed, all three games are running at 30 FPS on the Switch, though it remains to be seen what the performance target will be on other consoles.
