Developer Hexworks has confirmed that the upcoming Soulslike action RPG won’t be targeting 4K on consoles with either of its graphical settings.
Not too long ago, developer Hexworks confirmed that its upcoming Soulslike action RPG Lords of the Fallen will feature a 60 FPS option on consoles upon its launch in October. Now, the developer has provided further details on exactly what its performance and resolution targets will be across two graphics modes.
In an interview with Wccftech, Hexworks boss Saul Gascon has revealed that on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Lords of the Fallen will run either at an upscaled 1080p and 60 FPS on its performance mode, or at an upscaled 1440p and 30 FPS when played on quality mode. Yes, that means a 4K option won’t be available. “But even if you play at 60, Lords of the Fallen looks really good,” Gascon added.
Plenty of other details have also emerged on Lords of the Fallen in the lead-up to its launch. The developer has confirmed that an average playthrough of the game will be 25-30 hours long, while the game will also feature multiple endings and a New Game Plus option. Meanwhile, Hexworks has also said it will consider working on post-launch expansions depending on the players’ response.
Lords of the Fallen launches on October 13 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
