Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is based on the comic of the same name, and features a more serious take on the TMNT franchise.
THQ Nordic held a massive showcase during which it announced a new game based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. Titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin, the game is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Check out the trailer below.
While little else in the way of details have been revealed about the game—including a release date—we do know that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is set in a battle-ravaged New York City of the future.
The game seems to be a gritty take on the TMNT franchise, since it revolves around a lone surviving Turtle out on a hopeless mission to get revenge for the family he has lost. The game is based on a similarly-named comic series by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers.
Considering its premise, Teeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin will undoubtedly be a big change from the last game we got in the franchise—Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge.
