Kiryu works with Akame and her intelligence network to take on “risky requests” in the upcoming side story, launching on November 9th.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has released some new screenshots and details (translation via Gematsu) for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which covers Kazuma Kiryu’s story after Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. It outlined new characters like the mysterious Akame and members of the Daidoji Faction, the latter employing Kiryu as an agent.
Akame is present in Sotenbori, Osaka, and is described as a “jack-of-all-trades” with an intelligence network called Akame Network. Kiryu meets her while on a mission for the Daidoji and it’s revealed that her network consists of homeless people. She also takes on “risky requests that others avoid.” A “drama” surrounding their relationship will unfold as Kiryu and Akame investigate different issues like the poverty business.
As for the Daidoji Faction, there’s Yoshimura, a manager who favors violence and is hostile towards Kiryu. He has the faction’s best interests at heart but is extremely ruthless to any threats. Boss is known as the “general in the shadows” and seems very keen on Kiryu keeping his promises (lest their deal becomes “meaningless”). Finally, there’s the Head Priest, who plays Go all day and is “detached” from earthly desires, while serving as a confidant for Kiryu.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name launches on November 9th for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC
