After joking about key art, the official Call of Duty Twitter said, “We’ll share our artistic abilities and even more next week
After numerous leaks, the official Call of Duty Twitter posted the “real” key art for the next game in the series. It’s a joke, of course, but was followed by the account stating, “We’ll share our artistic abilities and even more next week.”
This seems to indicate an imminent reveal for the next Call of Duty. Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson reported that it would happen on August 1st, but plans seem to have changed. Rumors indicated that this year’s title would be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and developed by Sledgehammer Games (which changed its Twitter banner to replace an “E” with what seems to be the Roman numeral for “3”).
The logo was more recently leaked by promotional material for Monster Energy and confirmed that Captain Price would return. Neither Activision nor Sledgehammer directly acknowledged the leaks, but the former did confirm that this year’s title would be a sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022). S
