Protagonist Jak learns about the Leylines, Aveum’s source of magic, and how they originate from the mysterious Shrouded Realm.
Ascendant Studios’ Immortals of Aveum received much information at San Diego Comic-Con. The developer revealed a new cinematic, which sees Jak and General Kirkan conflicted over the Binding Stone, a powerful artifact. It also confirmed that Michael Kirkbride of The Elder Scrolls fame is involved with the world-building and narrative.
However, that’s not all. Another cinematic was released, which showcases a familiar scene from the Everwar. Before that, Kirkan mentors Jak, who is still learning about his powers. She teaches him about the Leylines, which govern the flow of magic, and the Shrouded Realm, where they originate.
Considering how much we know about The Wound running through Aveum, there’s probably a connection with the Shrouded Realm. Sandrakk’s purpose could also align with the latter and the secrets behind Lucium.
Immortals of Aveum is out on August 22nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
