The new update revamps the Starfall Islands with various decorations and adds new challenges, Koco to collect, and more.
The second free update releases today for Sega’s Sonic Frontiers, celebrating the Blue Blur’s 22nd birthday. Starfall Islands have been decorated in various ways, from balloons and wrapping to new accessories for Sonic, like a party hat, bow tie and sunglasses. Check it all out below.
Other new content includes new time-based and combat challenges and Koco to collect. The Spin Dash has also been added to Sonic’s repertoire, allowing him to truly roll around at the speed of sound. If that weren’t enough, there’s New Game+, which should allow players to carry over unlocked abilities and collected Koco into a new playthrough.
The specifics of New Game+ have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for more details. Sonic Frontiers is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review here. The third and final free update will add new story content and playable characters, though a release window isn’t confirmed.
