Insomniac Games has previously said that the sequel’s map will be roughly twice as large as that of its predecessors.
Though Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will once again take players to the Manhattan map of its two predecessors, it’s also set to be a larger game, with Insomniac Games having confirmed that its map will be roughly twice as large. But exactly what can players expect from its map as far as new areas that weren’t in the previous games are concerned?
Two new areas have already been confirmed for the sequel with the boroughs of Queens and Brooklyn, while another new area that players didn’t visit in the first two games have also now been confirmed. As spotted by users on ResetEra, the New Zealand PlayStation Store page for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 confirms that Coney Island will also be included in the game’s map. Yes, that means players can look forward to webslinging around its amusement parks and their rides.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch on October 20 for PS5.
