Sonic Superstars is a New 2D Sidescrolling Platformer, Out in Fall 2023

Sega has announced a new 2D platformer, Sonic Superstars. Check out the reveal trailer showing off gameplay.

Sega has announced a new Sonic game. Titled Sonic Superstars, the game is primarily a 2D sidescrolling platformer. Its trailer showed off some levels, as well as a host of other gameplay features. Check it out below.

Going by the trailer, Sonic Superstars will feature co-op for up to four players, and will allow players to pick their favourite characters to play as, with the roster including Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy.

Sonic Superstars also seems to feature a host of bonus levels and mini-games, including levels inspired by classic Sonic games, as well as newer takes on its bonus levels.

Players will also be able to unlock new abilities for the characters to use as they platform through its various levels. In the game, players will be able to turn into a jellyfish to navigate water levels, and even unlock the ability to walk on structures in the game’s backgrounds.

Sonic Superstars is out this Fall for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
