The upcoming open world title’s official website includes mention of post-launch DLC, which hasn’t yet been officially announced.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom isn’t out yet, but it seems like details on the highly anticipated open world title are beginning to emerge before Nintendo has the chance to formally unveil them. Recently, the game’s official art book leaked in full, leading to spoilers about locations, characters, and enemies popping up online, and now, it seems plans for post-launch content may also have been prematurely revealed.
That’s as per mention of post-launch DLC on the game’s official website (which you can see in the screencap below). Post-launch expansions for the action-adventure sequel haven’t yet been announced by Nintendo, though given the fact that its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, also received its fair share of support following release – including a full-fledged expansion in The Champions’ Ballad – it wouldn’t be surprising to see its sequel following suit.
In recent years, Nintendo has followed up the vast majority of its first party releases with post-launch content, so Tears of the Kingdom may very well end up following suit as well.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is due out on May 12 for the Nintendo Switch.
