Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Trailer Showcases Sciel, the “Serene Warrior”

Calling death a “friend who will welcome me home,” Sciel brings quick wit and a friendly attitude to an otherwise grim expedition.

Alongside confirming Performance and Quality modes for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Sandfall Interactive has released a new character trailer focused on Sciel. As seemingly the last surviving member of the expedition, she’s known as the “Cheerful and Serene Warrior” and fights with a twin-blade weapon.

Compared to Gustave’s demeanor at the start, Sciel is at peace with death, touting it as a “friend who will welcome me home.” A farmer turned teacher, she also harnesses tarot cards that provide unique buffs during battle. Using Sun and Moon cards provides charges and effects like +1 AP per Foretell consumed. Upon accumulating enough charges, Sciel enters the unknown Twilight state.

Though this wraps things up for the expedition’s members, there are more character trailers inbound. For example, Monoco the Gestral will get a closer look next week.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 launches on April 24th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It will also be available on day one for Game Pass.
