With many complaining that the Necromancer had been nerfed too much following the beta, Blizzard has eased up on some of those changes.
Diablo 4’s ongoing Server Slam is on its last day today, and though this weekend has certainly been dominated by anything and everything to do with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, many have, of course, been getting another healthy dose of Blizzard Entertainment’s upcoming action RPG. The Server Slam also allows players the chance to experience some of the many changes that Blizzard made to the game in response to feedback from players following the beta- and one particular change that didn’t go down particularly well with some has now also been addressed.
Following Diablo 4’s beta earlier in the year, it was abundantly clear how overpowered the Necromancer class was, and how easily the Necromancer’s pets and summons could be used to cheese through most encounters. Blizzard fixed those issues, but during the Server Slam, many players have complained that the developer maybe overdid it a little and nerfed the class a bit too much.
As such, Blizzard has now released a hotfix that addresses that. As shared by global community manager Adam Fletcher on Twitter, the hotfix has now gone live to tweak the Necromancer class again. Specifically, the update reduces cooldowns for summon skills, as well as the health and damage reduction of minions and skeletons.
Diablo 4 is set to launch on June 6 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC
